Happy Wellbeing Wednesday!

REMINDER: Miss Hunt is holding 1:1 Zooms for home learners today (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday). There will be via our usual Zoom link. Please ensure you have confirmed your time slot via email.

 

There will be no 1:45 zoom session today- it's wellbeing Wednesday! Have some family time this afternoon.

 

Have you logged onto EExAT yet? :) If you have picked up your home learning supply pack, you will have the EExAT parent guide and your access code. If you haven't, please email Miss Hunt who can send you your access code. Please try logging on today and submitting some of your work with a short caption. Please note you can only upload one image per post; apps such as pic collage can be useful for making multiple photographs into one image.

Daily Zoom session: Our sound this week is 'or'. This is a Black Cat sound. Today we will be recapping our 'or' word PowerPoint, matching the flashcards we made yesterday to the pictures as they appear. We will write 2 or words together and play spot the tricky word!

 

Follow up activity: Play Buried Treasure blending game on Phonics Play- Choose phase 3, + ‘or’. (Free log in)

 

Writing:

Write a Caption: "pots and pans"

Sound out each word carefully, using your sound mat to help you find the letter/s that match each sound. 

 

Please photograph this and upload it to EExAT for Miss Hunt to see! Please include specific and honest detail. For example: Were these words sounded out independently or were some support required? Was each word written independently, using their sound mat, or was more parental support needed? 

 

Fine Motor Skills: 

Fine motor skills are the skills that allow you to make small movements with your 

hands- developing these supports pencil control.

Challenge: Rescue your toys!!!!!

Your adult can use tape to stick some plastic/ wooden toys to a table or a tray- can you use your fingers to pick the tape off to rescue your toys? See pictures below for other ideas.

Afternoon Activities: Wellbeing Wednesday Afternoon!

No work has been set for this afternoon and there is no 1:45 Zoom call.

Have some family time! In this cold weather, you could snuggle up with hot chocolates and blankets and watch your favorite films together. If safe, go outside for a walk, a trip to the woods, the park or explore locally. You can also check out the Help for Parent’s web page for extra inspiration.
