Year 6 spent Islam day learning about the five Pillars of Islam. These are the rules which Muslims follow in their faith. Just like regular pillars hold up a roof, the 5 pillars of Islam help Muslims to uphold their religion. These are things that all Muslims must do if they are able to. We watched some videos of young Muslims talking about their faith and teaching us about what the pillars are and made notes to help us create information posters.

It was fascinating to learn about another world faith - and it really helped us to think about our own beliefs and values.
