Kearsney Class
In Year 3 today we learnt that many people believe that Hinduism is a Polytheistic religion (believing in more than one God) but that is not accurate. Hindu’s believe in one God, Brahman, who is presented in many different ways (deities). The Trimurti are the three main deities. These represent the cycle of life. Brahma is the creator. Vishnu is the preserver, he maintains and preserves things and Shiva is the destroyer. As with all deities they are presented in different ways, with different stories and often holding different items which represent different possibilities.
We followed a drawing tutorial to create the symbol Om which represents Brahman. We then made information posters about the Trimurti.
