National Poetry Day took place on Thursday 5th October, and at St Richard's we celebrated all things poetry with an 'Off By Heart' competition. 

Children from Years 1-6 were invited to learn one poem from a selection off by heart to perform in the grand final in the school hall. The children had to perform their poem and captivate not just the audience, but a panel of judges.

Our amazing finalists were:

Year 1: Verity & Charlotte

Year 2: Jasna & Skye

Year 3: Blessed, Lyra & Noa

Year 4: Harvey & Gabrielle

Year 5: Monika & Benedict

Year 6: Favour & Kacey-Mae

The winners were Charlotte, Gabrielle & Favour.
