Anthony's Incredible St Richard's Stone!

Anthony has worked hard to create a wonderful stone to celebrate this unusual but equally unprecedented year we are experiencing! He carefully chose the colours of St Richard's and has displayed this in the School Office. He also hopes to put into our special garden so children, families and staff of St Richard's can see the stone for years to come. What a wonderful stone!

VE Day

Victory in Europe Day, generally known as VE Day, is a day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany’s unconditional surrender of its armed forces on Tuesday, 8 May 1945, marking the end of World War II in Europe.  The 8th May 2020 marked the 75th anniversary of VE Day.

We are blown away by your fantastic 'home learning' efforts commemorating this day. St Richards' pupils and staff dressed up, baked, held garden parties, created bunting and made lots of wonderful creations. A huge well done!

Whole school art project. Can you create a masterpiece by joining your work together? Look at the work on Mondrian and see if you can create your own. He uses black lines to create squares and then fills them in with yellow, red and blue (or leaves white). I think they look amazing. Get creative at home with paint, felt tips, pencils or even your computer. I shall collect them all together (at some point) and create a Mondrian display in school. Get creating. Mrs Bennett
