Today I would like you to focus on the next part of our unit of work about the rhiswanozebtah. You will be focussing on comprehension today - answering the questions on pages 9,10 and 11.

 

Remember to read the text again first to refresh your memory about what it's all about.

PSHE

This afternoon, we are going to complete session 2 of our topic Be Awesome, Go Big. In session 1 we were thinking about whether we were kid awesome or kid average and reflecting on what holds us back sometimes. Today we will be thinking about unlocking our minds. We have talked lots this year about growth mindset and fixed mindset - today you will be thinking about this in more detail.

Activity 2 is all about creating a worry jar to think about worries which may be holding you back. If you don't have a jar, don't panic! You can use a piece of paper and just jot them down, or pop them in a cup so that you can think about them in a few days.

 

The third activity is all about getting ready for Year 7 - thinking about how you can change your fixed mindset in some areas into a growth mindset.

 

Really take your time and think carefully about yourselves Year 6.
