Good Morning
I hope everyone is feeling fab this morning and ready to go. Let me know if you need anything.
Have a wonderful day.

9:00 - 9:30 - Phonics - a (o)
Look through the PowerPoint. Sometimes the letter ‘a’ after a w, sw or qu makes the ‘o’ sound. This occurs in some common words. Look at forming the past tense.
Watch the ‘Swapping Song’ video. Make the Tricky Witch (wave a pretend wand) action every time you hear a w-a (o) word. Can you remember all of the w-a (o) words in the song?
Look at the activity. Can you answer the questions? What did the fairy want? What did she get? Colour-code the w-a (o) words on the template. If possible, use a metallic gold pen.

Science Lesson
Humans have great fun in the winter snow building snowmen, sledging and throwing snow balls. Have you been having fun in the snow?
Winter for animals is not so much fun, and this clip looks at the work animals put in with their continuing quest for food.
Sometimes humans provide food for animals during the winter.
Garden birds are given nuts and sheep are given straw.
Ploughing the soil turns up worms and grubs for seagulls to eat.
Many animals find food without the help of humans so must be ready for any opportunity.
What is snow and where does it come from?
