Nativity

For the Nativity this year, Castle Class have recorded themselves singing a song called "Little Donkey", all about the donkey that carried Mary and her unborn baby all the way to Bethlehem.

We made glittery stars into headbands to wear for this performance- we hope you enjoy it.

Merry Christmas!

Castle Class- Little Donkey

Reading at Home

Reading books are now changed every Monday and Thursday so please bring your Reading Record and reading books into school on these days.

A new laminated phonics activity sheet will be given fortnightly.

Please aim to read with or to your child every day.

Please record all reading you do inside your Reading Record. This way, we can see who has been reading at home and enter them into our weekly Book Worm prize draw!

Every time you read at home, we write your child's name on a 'Book Worm' ticket. At the end of the week, one book worm is drawn from the pile and a prize is given to the winner. All tokens from each week are put in a whole school box and at the end of the term, 2 winners are drawn and receive a book token each. The more often you read, the more likely you are to win a prize!

Please see the attached letter below for more information about reading in Year R.

PE

PE continues to be on a Tuesday morning. Please come dressed in your PE kit. Earrings should be removed before you come to school.

In addition to PE, Castle Class will also be working through the Write Dance in the Early Years program. This will help to develop fine motor skills which is a big step towards early writing.
