Congratulations

A huge congratulations to all of our finalists who entered the Christmas Maths Photo Competition.

All entries were incredible and are on display in the school hall for you to see during celebration assembly.

Well done to the winners from each category (Reception, KS1, LKS2 and UKS2).

The overall winner was chosen by the school councilors.

Please come and view the wonderful pictures and their excellent explanations of how we use Maths every day.

During Christmas, Maths starts appearing all around us – in decorations, food, music and even in gifts.

Challenge: take a photo of something Christmas themed that shows maths. E-mail the photo, Your name and class as well as a sentence explaining the maths you have noticed to Mr Kinnear at competition@st-richards-dover.kcsp.org.uk. You could be counting, adding and subtracting, or even identifying shapes, patterns and nets.

Prizes to be won, including Lego and a £10 Amazon voucher.

Entries are to be submitted by Wednesday 10th January 2024.
