HOME LEARNING

Week commencing 20th July

Well here we are Year 6. Your final 3 days at St Richard's. For those of you not at school, I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. For the next 3 days, those in school will be taking part in art activities, games, sports day and other fun activities. I won't be setting any work online - however, I will put some links below to activities we are doing at school so that you can join in at home if you would like to.

Week commencing 13th July 2020

Week commencing 6th July 2020

July already. How did that happen Year 6? I hope you have all had wonderful weekends - yet another windy one! It seems to be constantly windy at the moment. On one of my Forest School training days we learned about how the wind (and something called barometric pressure) can affect the way we feel and behave. It's certainly filled Noah and his brothers with lots of energy this weekend!

Week commencing 29th June 2020

Good morning Year 6. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It was another windy one wasn't it - I wondered whether our roof was going to blow off! This week, we will be doing a variety of activities: some finishing off English and some more learning about the Empire Windrush. As always, whether you're at home or at school, you can get in touch with me using our class blog on Purple Mash or using the 'contact the class teacher' form on the webpage.

Week commencing 22nd June 2020

Good morning Year 6 - I hope you all enjoyed the Science activities from the virtual jamboree last week. I especially liked making the mini-kite - we live at the top of a monster hill, so Noah and I had the perfect opportunity to fly it.

Week commencing 15th June 2020

Hello lovely Year 6s. How are you all doing this week? I hope you all had fabulous weekends full of lots of fun. A message from Mrs Martin:

Each year we take children to the East Kent Science Jamboree at Discovery Park. We were booked to attend this month but inevitably the event has been cancelled. In its place, the organisers have  created a ‘Virtual Jamboree’ which is now live at www.thestemhub.org.uk.

We are confident that this will give children a flavour of the event they are missing and provide opportunities for engaging and inspiring science activities.

Mrs Martin

We will have lots of fun Science activities to complete this week - good luck. Here is the rest of the learning for this week:

Week commencing 8th June 2020

Good morning Year 6. How are you all? I know that lots of you are in school from today in a bubble. I won't be in with you I'm afraid as I'm home with Noah, however I am sending you all lots of love. As always, you can contact me using the class blog or the contact the class teacher form on the Year 6 page - get in touch if you have any questions, or even just want to say hello! The learning at home and at school will be the same from now - so that you are all getting the same work. You're all amazing Year 6, and I'm incredibly proud of all of you.

Each week will now be a new block of learning on the website

for you to access.
