Daily Zoom session: Our sound this week is 'ee'. Today we will be reviewing our ee word flashcards and playing the 'Dragon's Den' game from PhonicsPlay together. We will then revisit the tricky words we have learnt this week- she, we, they.

Writing:

Write one or more of the ee sentences below in your exercise book. Remember to make your ‘ee’ sounds green!

We will keep her from harm.

She will sleep well.

They fell into a deep sleep.

Note to Parents:

Please remember that your child will probably use the single ‘l’ to represent the last sound in will, well and fell as this is the form they are most familiar with. Prompt them to use the sound mat below to look at other ways to write the ‘l’ sound.

Please repeat the sentence you are about to write multiple times with your child. Then start writing it one word at a time, taking time to say the word you want to write slowly so your child can hear each sound. They will need to use the sound mat linked below to link the sound they hear to the appropriate letter. For example, for the sound 'b' you can help your child find the correct letter by saying 'b for bird'. Then they can find the bird and the letter they need above it.
