Tuesday

Good morning Year 6. I hope you all enjoyed taking part in World Ocean Day yesterday. Today's code for reading and SPAG on LBQ is:

osa

English

Today we will be doing a reading comprehension so that tomorrow we can start our new unit about discovering an unusual animal. Read the information about these garden birds and then have a go at the questions. If you can't print things at home - you can read the information online and answer the questions on paper. I wonder whether you have seen any of these birds in your gardens?

Maths

Today year 6, we will be continuing with our work on fractions. Watch the video and then have a go at the questions. You can mark your work using the answer sheet once you're done.

Geography

A lesson about a completely different part of the world today Year 6: The Alps. I wonder if any of you have ever been lucky enough to visit them, or see them?

Watch the learning videos and read the information about where the Alps are, what the climate there is like and what life is like for people living in the Alps. There are 3 learning activities to complete once you have done the learning:

- Activity 1 is a short quiz to see how closely you paid attention in the learning videos and reading the information.

- Activity 2 involves creating a short brochure (don't panic - only 2 or 3 paragraphs) about why people should visit the Alps. If you can't print anything, don't worry. You can draw a picture and write your ideas down on paper.

- Activity 3 involves creating a line graph using information about average temperature and monthly rainfall in the Alps. If you can't print this one - don't worry about completing it unless you have some squared paper at home.
