Term 5
This term, we have another exciting and engaging range of learning planned across the curriculum. In English, we will be exploring Phantom of the Opera, as well as developing our persuasive writing skills through letter writing. We will also be studying poetry, focusing on The Listeners by Walter de la Mare, analysing its language and atmosphere. In Maths, we will be building our understanding of perimeter, area, statistics and shape, while in Arithmetic we will be focusing on improving our division skills.
In RE, we will be learning about Pentecost and reconciliation, with a particular focus on the Ten Commandments and their importance. In Science, we will be exploring space and the solar system, discovering more about planets, stars and how our universe works. In History, we will continue our work on the Vikings, learning about their beliefs, including Viking gods, Valhalla and the Tree of Life.
In Art, we will be studying the Impressionists of the 19th century, focusing on the work of Cézanne and Monet, and creating our own pieces inspired by their styles. It promises to be another busy and inspiring term, full of opportunities for creativity, curiosity and learning.
