How did the Vikings get to Valhalla?

This term, we are continuing with our learning about the Vikings. Last term, we looked at what life was like for the Vikings; we sought to answer: were they really as savage as people believe? This term, we are looking at what was important to the Vikings; their religion, relationships and beliefs. 

Our text for this term is The Phantom of the Opera, we will be writing some incredible pieces, including a newspaper report and a set of instructions on how to capture the phantom! 

In maths, we will be covering perimeter, area, statistics and beginning our learning on shape. 

In art we are studying the French impressionists of the 19th century and using their work as inspiration to paint 'el plain air'! 

We also have a reading competition on the 10th May and are beginning to learn the songs for a special musical event in Dover later next term- we can't wait!
