Term 4

This term, our topic is Geography and we will be thinking about the word CONSEQUENCES by trying to answer the question:

Are we damaging our world?

In English this term, we will be being inspired by a short film about the planet, Pandora.

Using this as a starting point, we shall be writing non-chronological reports about alien insects we have designed to live on Pandora. Our focus will be on writing technically and scientifically so that information can be given clearly to the reader.

In Maths this term, we shall be tackling ratio & proportion, algebra and measurement. As we are getting ready for our SATS in May, we will also be continuing to practise our key arithmetic skills of calculating with different operations and also with fractions and decimals.

In RE, we shall be thinking about Lent and Easter and exploring whether anything good can come out of sadness, death and grief. Year 6 will also be re-enacting Jesus' last day at the end of term in our Good Friday assembly all about the stations of the cross.
