Term 4 - Who reigned supreme? A battle royal(e) (Kings and Queens)

Our learning this term is all about the amazing Kings and Queens who have reigned over England, focusing on Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Victoria in History, and King Charles III in English. We shall be comparing both queens and thinking about which queen was superior. 

In RE, our topics this term are:

• Eucharist - Relating and the theme of giving thanks.

• Lent/Easter – Giving

In Maths, our learning this term is finishing Multiplication and Division, and starting Measurement and Fractions!. We will be looking at lengths, height, weight, capacity and temperature. We shall also be looking at what fractions are and how to find 1/2, 1/3 and 1/4.

In Science, we are still learning about Everyday materials and their uses! We shall be looking at the properties of materials and conducting experiments such as 'Can solid materials change their shape?'. We shall also be making some slime for our 10:10!

In DT, we shall be making our own dessert - Eton Mess! We shall be designing and making it as it is one of King Charles III's favourite desserts!

In English, we shall be writing a formal letter to King Charles III and sending them to him! We are going to write what we have learned about King Charles III. We shall also be writing a set of instructions on how to make a delicious Eton mess, using our book 'The Cook and the King' to help us!
