Year 6 Art

Year 6 have been learning about using light and dark to shade and create tone and atmosphere. They were experimenting with charcoal, pencil, graphite and black pastels to look at blending and tone. They then looked at some examples of WW1 and WW2 art using light and dark and had a go at using the different tools to recreate small parts of them. Building up to creating own compositions linked to WW1 and WW2.

Year 6 have been practising their textile techniques by sewing poppies for Remembrance. They have also build on this by adding in 3-D skills, sewing through multiple layers to create 3-D poppies.
