English

A SPAG lesson today Year 6, before we move on to some narrative writing. Today we will be looking at determiners. Have a look at the lesson here:

Pause the video when you are asked to and complete the exercises on your home learning book - you can then mark the work when the teacher goes through it.

When you've completed the lesson, have a go at these questions identifying the determiners in the sentences. The answers are in the document underneath - no cheating!

Maths

Write today's short date (12/01) in your home learning book and have a go at these arithmetic questions:

Arithmetic answers

Watch the White Rose video on adding and subtracting fractions. You can pause it as you are watching to have a go at joining in with the activities. When you get to the end, have a go at the work in your home learning book. You will need to have the worksheet open on a device in front of you and then do your working out and answering in the book. Once you have completed the task, you can use the answer sheet to mark your work before an adult emails me a picture of it. Good luck - and remember to email me if you have any questions.

Aut6.11.2 - Mixed addition and subtraction

LBQ - Science pre-assessment

Instead of a reading exercise today on LBQ, Mrs Martin would like you to complete the 2 tasks to see how much you remember about your new science topic from previous years. The code today is:

Afternoon lesson - RE

Today we will be thinking about a prayer Jesus led to inspire unity between his disciples. Look at the PowerPoint presentation and watch the video on slide 3. Then have a think about the words from John 17: 11, 20-23 and answer the questions from slide 6 in your book.

Once you have done that, your task is to write a prayer of your own based on the theme of unity relating then to Jesus’ teaching and the disciples.

A couple of you have emailed me to say that the video is not working - I am really sorry Year 6. The link is below so you can watch it.
