IMPLEMENTATION

Art is based on the National Curriculum and is taught as part of our termly topic work. Teachers are required to create a curriculum overview which outlines which Art skills and techniques are going to be covered each term. This will link to the progression of skills document to ensure children are building upon previously learnt skills as they progress through the school. Educational visits and visiting experts can be planned to enhance the learning experience. Teachers must celebrate pupils’ artwork which can be done on displays within the classroom or school or they can organise an exhibition and invite parents in to view the children’s work.
