Thursday 28th January

9am - 9:10am: Arithmetic

Using the following method of Mo from last week solve the following questions:

Mo's method

Mo's method makes the calculation easier to do - for example:

25 x 6

If I double 25 to 50, and half 6 to 3

The new calculation: 50 x 3 is a lot easier to calculate and will create the same answer

25 x 6 = 50 x 3 = 150

Try these questions using Mo's method:

5 x 42

8 x 15

24 x 4

9:10am - 9:55am: Divide 2-digits by 1-digit (2)

In this lesson, we will learn about fronted adverbials and recap the purpose of an opening. We will then watch and order the first part of the opening. Following shared writing, you will write the first part of the opening. For this lesson, you will need an exercise book or paper and a pencil. Happy writing!

2:15pm - 2:45pm: Build a Roman fort

You have two options here:

Option 1: One using objects, furniture and other house hold things build yourself a Roman fort. If possible you can do the afternoon zoom lesson from this fort.

Option 2: Go outside and build yourself a fort - you may need the help of your family members if they are free to help. Use your imagination to create something.

Take a picture and send to me, it would be great for our class display when you come back to school.
