School Council Action 2022 - 2023

The School Council met with Miss Quansah-Brown and commissioned a new piece of artwork to go up in the school Reception area. The School Council met with every class, talked about ideas and collect together ideas which they felt really reflected the school.

The artwork has been commissioned and is already underway. Here are some pictures.

The school council met and held a competition to redesign the Library. Many ideas were shared around the school and a collection was put together. From that staff and councillors met again to choose the theme and ideas for the new library.

The library was redecorated, reorganised and older books were removed with fresh new titles. The room's theme of a Book jungle. Here are the results.

British Values

In accordance with The Department for Education we aim to actively promote British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.

The Key Values are:

  • democracy
  • rule of law
  • individual liberty
  • mutual respect
  • tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs
