Term 2 Key Information

 

Homework - Please see homework folder for details.

 

Phonics - We have daily Phonics lessons in class (please see Phonics folder for the sounds that are being taught). This term I have to give the children the Phonics Screen that they missed in Year 1. I will do this as close to the end of term as I can so that they have as much time as possible to practise. We are very lucky to have Mrs Martin with us for some extra Phonics booster sessions 3 days a week. 

 

PE - The children will be having the bulk of their PE on a Tuesday afternoon with Marc from Dynamic Sports. They will still have a short PE lesson on a Monday with myself and this is Dance this term. They must come to school in their PE kits on these days.

 

Reading Books - The children are doing very well with gaining Reading Worms for reading at home so please continue to read every night with your child. It really does help! Please make sure reading books are in school every day. 

 

PACT folders - please make sure PACT folders are sent in every day so that we can make sure everything is sent home together in them every day. I gave out lovely new (bigger) ones on the last day of Term 1.
