Today's lesson might seem very simple, but it is very important as it helps to give you the foundation knowledge to understand area. Area and perimeter are different and it is important that you know how to calculate them both.

I would like you to write a paragraph FULL of description. Pretend you are one of the children, you are starving and exhausted. You find a few bugs that are edible, put them to your mouth and eat them.
Can you write about the experience? Focus on the 5 senses- touch, taste, smell, sound and sight. You can use figurative language to aid description and create imagery.
I cannot wait to read what you have written.
