Daily Zoom session: Our sound this week is 'ai'. This is an Angry Red A sound. We will be reading Monster Phonics' version of Hansel and Gretel today, matching some ai words to pictures, and writing the ai sound.

Writing:
Make a set of ai flashcards- aim tail nail rain paid rail mail train snail.
Make sure you sound each word out. Can you hear the start, middle, and end sound? Use your sound mat to help you find the letter that matches the sound.
Then use them to play a miming game. Take turns to pick a card, keep this secret but mime the word for your partner to guess. Both parent and child can take turns miming and guessing.
