28th-2nd

Hello and good morning!

I hope you are happy and having a nice time at home. We are missing you lots at school.

You are actually ahead of us in maths! We did not do Friday's lesson because we were so busy with our writing. Today, you can have a go at some of these online activities instead, so we have time to catch up!

Firstly, I'd like you to have a go at this angles challenge- click here to access it

This might seem simple, and you will notice it says ' Year 4'. You missed out on learning about this last year, and I want you to really understand it before we move on to the tricky year 5 stuff.

Finally, I would like you to have a go at this wonderful game I think you'll enjoy a lot- click here to access it

This is called 'Guardians Defenders of Mathematica' and is a great way to practice your arithmetic skills.

English:

Sick sentences!

These sentences are ‘sick’ and need help to get better. Can you help? Could you add an adverb?

The children paddled through the water. It was hot.

Question time!

How is their journey to school different to yours?

Where do you think they are? What country might it be?

How long do you think it takes them to get to school?

What time is it in the picture?

What do you think they all had for breakfast?

What do they have inside their rucksacks?

Where are their parents?

What is their school/teacher like? How is it similar/different to yours?

Are the children happy?

Afternoon:

Perfect picture!

Imagine what their school looks like when they finally get there.

Can you draw or describe it?

I hope you understand all of this. Sorry it looks different to last week, I am doing this at home and don't have my usual software to help me. I will put up the rest of your home learning for the rest of this week tomorrow.

Miss you lots, see you soon!

Miss Brown xxx
