Term 4

Take a look at what we're learning about in Term 4!

In the lead up to end of year assessments in May, to give children the very best opportunity to achieve their potential, there will be increase of focus on reading, writing and mathematics. I would like to reiterate again the importance of children reading at home. A love of reading will support children and will give them many opportunities as they move onto secondary school. Children should continue to read their reading books everyday. Children need to record these times and pages in their reading record. In addition, homework will be continue to be sent out weekly.

As children approach the point of transition to secondary school, they need to learn to become more independent and organised. This includes getting into a good routine with packing their bags with their reading book and completing their homework.
